It is very important to choose the right size marquee to suit your event., too many people crammed into a small space is both uncomfortable and unsafe and too large a space will make your event seem under populated.
Points to consider:
- How many guests are you expecting and will they be seated or standing?
- How are you going to seat them? EG: A 5’ round table will seat 8 guests & a 5’6” up to 10 guests.
- Do you require a catering area within your marquee?
- Are you having evening entertainment and do you require a stage and dance floor area?
- Do you need a reception / bar / standing area

100 People Seated (Dinner dance)
This plan is based on 100 people seated 8 to a 5’ round table & includes a 15’x15’ dance floor and space for your chosen entertainment. There is adequate space for serving food & bar plus a partitioned area for caters to prepare food. We’ve also included a 3x3m entrance porch.
Tip: Save space (and money!) by utilising the dance floor as a temporary seating area. Tables can be removed before the evening entertainment starts.
150 People Seated (Wedding)
This is a typical layout for a wedding reception. The marquee will seat 144 guests at 5’ round tables plus a top table of 6-12. The layout includes a reception space of 6x6m which is ideal for meeting & greeting and a bar area, also included is a 20’x20’ dance floor and space for a DJ or band. A serving & partitioned area for caters is also provided.
Tip: This marquee could take an additional 40 guests if a 5’6” round table was used instead of 5’. This would enable10 guests to be seated at each table comfortably. A further 20 guests could be accommodated if you use the dance floor as a temporary seating area.
